Why should you go to Bali?

There are several reasons if you ask me this question. It is gorgeous as well as it provides a wide range of feelings and knowledge about cultures and nature. Also, we can have a sense of fresh air passing through the oceans and the forests.

Firstly, we have to land at Denpasar Airport.

And you must decide which beach you want to stay. You can check the locations and names of beaches here.

Even though there are many beaches along the coastal line, most visitors prefer to choose the beaches located on the West Coast because they like to watch a stunning view of the Sunset.

I also chose to stay at Kuta Beach which is one of the most famous beaches on the west coast. It is the nearest beach to the airport and a central place which can easily access every attraction point.

When thinking about "Stay"

It is enough to stay at 3-star or 4-star Hotels for those people who prioritise wandering around because it is only used for sleeping at night. However, the hotels are very hygienic. As many souvenir shops and restaurants can be found around the beaches, it is possible to enjoy night light and the breeze by the sea.

For group tours like company trips include many team activities, it will be a better choice to hire Bangalore. Locations, sizes and facilities are available to check on Agoda and Airbnb. They provide air-con, kitchen facilities and breakfast and some include even a swimming pool. However, most of Bangalore is situated in quarters so it lacks of feeling nightlife on beaches.

The cost is normally between US$20 and  US$100.

The attraction places

  • Volcanoes

If they are not active at that time, visiting villages around the volcano is also an interesting approach because the traditional lifestyle and agriculture are available to learn,

Mt.Agung and Mt.Batur are situated on the east of the Island and it will need one full day to visit there.

  • Temples

As there are many Hinduism devotees, many Hindu religious structures can be found everywhere. Matching with a beautiful garden, they can make visitors who are different devotees delight. Everybody needs to wear the provided sarong to pay respect to their holy places. Depending on the temples, they give their own specific colour sarong and teach the visitors how to wear it.

  1. Uluwatu Temple _ is located at the edge of the west coast and is the most beautiful place in Bali. Several monkeys can be found and be like pranking visitors, so caring more about valuable belongings is crucial.
  2. Tanah Lot Temple _ is also situated on the west coast and looks like a separate Island which is a bit walk from the main Island and needs to walk through the sea. Sometimes at high tide, nobody is allowed to walk through for their safety.
  3. Tirta Empul Temple _ Holy water spring. They believe that it is good to heal mantel or physical health by bathing with this water. However, it needs to shower with clean water as the water quality in the pool is not hygienic.
  4. Besakih Temple _ is located near Mt. Agung
  5. Elephant Cave _ is located in the lowland and strongly prohibited to the women who are in the period.

  • Traditional Scenery
According to its soil quality, an amenity of landscape is created as a gift. Both natural landscape and man-made agricultural landscapes became their attractions. Visiting the villages provides an authentic feeling. Some of the villages are as shown below.
  1. Ubud Monkey Forest _ is the best place for Adventurers or Explorers. Touching nature will make people satisfied. And it is a convenient way to access Tirta Empul Temple and Elephant Cave.
  2. Tegalalang Rice Terraces _ is not far from Monkey Forest and available to visit the village.

Activities

There are plenty of activities tours for many individuals who want a thrill by making unusual memories. Asking at the reception, hotels can refer which agency to contact but the most important thing is to bargain. It is a sort of tradition.

Many activities such as Water Rafting, Parasailing, Scuba Diving, Speed boating, Sea walking, Zip Line, Tree top adventure, E-bike Tour, Quad bike, snorkelling and so on, will definitely persuade visitors to stay longer in Bali.

Food

  1. Dirty Dark_is the special meal making Bali different from others. It is a grill dark leaving some hair left so that people can feel a natural rural taste while they eat it. Most of the restaurants in Bali are selling it as a trademark of local food.
  2. Sunset Dinner_is, of course, crucial to not miss it during the Bali trip. Watching the sunset by the beach and eating dinner with loved ones can make unforgettable memories in life.
  3. Bintang, Anker_are local beer
  4. Luwak Coffee_ is an unusual coffee production. Please find the other post for details.

Special Souvenir

  1. Dream Catcher_ There are several dream catchers with various shapes, different sizes and colours. It is the best souvenir to give someone as a gift because it is very light and portable.
  2. Soap_As Bali is popular in Spa, they produce various soaps with attractive packaging and add flower which is the most significant flower in Bali. Besides, there are many fragrant oils as well but it is sometimes difficult to carry on flight.
  3. Batik_ Buying Batik is a central idea for shopping in Indonesia. Although the price is not so cheap, colours and patterns are quite different from Batik sold by other countries. They tailor many fashionable dresses for different ages and different nationalities.

Transport

As there are many attraction points and need time to travel between them, one private van may be needed at a cheap price. Check at the hotel and ask for the price. It is about estimated US$50 to US$80 per day. It can be cheaper for group tours.

I believe that these informations above are more than enough to prove why should go to Bali.

Please make sure that our environment is not destroyed by our actions.
