EMERALD JET, the Receptionist Butterflies

Seeing these alluring creatures, I named them "Emerald Jet". Its original name is Rajah Brooke's Birdwing given by a naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace.

Yes, it is the butterfly, a top-listed native creature of Malaysia. In Cameron Highland, they became a kind of attraction keeping them in the green-house butterfly farm. It is not an outdoor space because they cover the garden with transparent plastic. In the greenhouse, there are various kinds of flowery plants blossoming with different colours, perhaps feeding butterflies and other insects. Interestingly, I found that they feed pineapples to butterflies as well.

Besides, we can also find other insects in the garden such as chirr and beetles. They display several kinds of small insets in the glass boxes. Furthermore, the process of butterfly metamorphosis (egg, larva, pupa, and adult) is shown with a good explanation. Therefore, this place is a good option for children to study other living on earth.

However, I think that those insects have a luxurious life, with just eating and sleeping, as I didn’t see them flying joyfully. They rest on flowers, walls, branches, and even on visitors very long like fall asleep.

I notice about men’s love in this garden. We people always try to keep our loved ones and preserve them for many purposes, without caring for others’ feelings.

I felt pity for those butterflies as nobody knew if they were happy in this man-made garden. Some of them might be born in this garden, and they might think that place is a world, the roof is a sky. Without escaping this greenhouse, they will not know the real world and nature until the end of their life.

Perhaps, some have tried to escape, some still find the way out, some did it successfully, some returned and informed friends about the real world and some aren’t concerned about the outside at all.

Even if they rest on the roof and are curious about what it beyond is, they currently stay as a host to welcome visitors from all over the world.

Please make sure that our environment is not destroyed by our actions.
