Luwak Coffee

Whether you are a coffee lover or not, you must go to Luwak Coffee Yard because the production is strange and totally different from the usual coffee you ever drink. On the other hand, you can learn about our wonderful mother nature.

Indonesia is the origin of this type of coffee production but the Philippines also widely produces similar coffee during these days.

Asian Civet

It is also known as Cevit Coffee because it is produced from the droppings of Cevits. Sound strange, right? But don't judge quickly and try to listen to more stories about them.

Why did they produce coffee from the drop of an animal?

The first reason is that Civet eat only certain cherries which are ripe and flawless. Therefore, the qualities of the coffee cherries that Cevit chose are the best among others. As everybody knows, coffee selection is crucial in any Coffee production. These Civets have a great sense of Coffee cherries.

The second reason is more scientific, I would say, but actually, we should accept one of the wonderful creations of our nature. After passing through Civet's intestines, the aroma and taste changed as the amino acid composition was altered. The digestion system reduces bitterness.

Luwak Coffee is considered one of the world's most expensive coffees due to its unique flavour and highly detailed production process.

Various Tea Tester
However, if you dare not try Luwak coffee in the yard, you still have some options to drink or taste other beverages. They provide some testers of several flavoured teas as shown in the picture. Those are made of lime, plum, roselle, honey, bali, etc.

I recommend that this experience also shouldn't be missed as a traveller if you are in Bali, Indonesia.

Please make sure that our environment is not destroyed by our actions.
